mtc (3)

Description:   The Healdsburg Avenue Complete Streets Project aims to transform Healdsburg Avenue between Powell Avenue and the approximate northern City limit into a vibrant Complete Street that prioritizes safety, accessibility, and multi-modal transportation for all users.  The project will reduce Healdsburg Avenue from five lanes to three.   Improvements will include bus turnouts at bus stops, protected intersections, pedestrian refuge islands with rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) for enhanced pedestrian crossings, Class IV bikeways with varied forms of bicycle protection, traffic calming via intersection curb projection, and tree planting along with rehabilitating the roadway pavement.
