For more than ten years, the City of Healdsburg, along with a wonderful group of sponsors, have hosted the Foss Creek Cleanup. This community event provides an opportunity for residents to participate in maintenance and protection of our waterways by removing trash and debris from Foss Creek.
Foss Creek is tributary of the Russian River and serves as a home to species protected by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The creek also funnels stormwater runoff from the City to the Russian River.
This year marks the 14th annual Foss Creek Clean-up. The event will take place on Saturday, September 22nd at the Healdsburg Community Center from 8am - 11:30am. All volunteers will receive breakfast and a commemorative t-shirt. The event schedule will be as follows:
8am - 9am: Breakfast and Safety Orientation
9am - 11am: Creek Clean-up
11am - 11:30am: Debrief and Awards Ceremony
Once the clean-up is concluded, volunteers are encouraged to stay for the free Safety Fair taking place until 2:00pm.
E-mail Felicia Smith or call 707-431-3122 to register. All children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
